I am so bored that I actually just downloaded Chinese Democracy and I am actually listening to it right now...

My boss wants me to work for Christmas break.  And I'm considering doing it because I don't have any money and if I do it I can finish my contract (which, actually, I haven't even signed yet) earlier and thus get the fuck out earlier.

It finally snowed here.  Apparently this is about 2 weeks later than the usual first snow fall, but whatever.  I'm just happy to pretty much be guaranteed snow for all of December.  The city is definitely a lot prettier with snow on it though.  I'll probably take some pictures this weekend.

Also, a student just sent me this.  It's only 150 rubles (about $5.50).  I think I'm going to go.

It just occurred to me that we haven't paid anything for this internet service yet.  Hmm.

So we had a bit of a Halloween party.  Three days late, but only because we all had to work on Saturday.  Really though, all of Russia got together and decided to pretend Saturday was the following Monday so they could have Monday off since they were already going to have Tuesday off and I guess they all wanted a three day weekend, but agreed that four days was just too much.

Anyway, real Halloween sucked here.  I got to teach some of my students what zombies were, which was kind of sweet I guess.  Except they all already knew because apparently it's the exact same word in Russian, which kind of zapped any potential education out of my telling them.

The night ended with this guy passed out in my room.  His name is Dan and you can't tell from this photo, but one of his top front teeth is gold.
